Wildwood EDU

Wildwood Running is excited to launch a new path for learning! As a non-profit we deeply believe in offering educational sessions that are accessible to all. That is why we created Wildwood EDU!

Wildwood EDU are free educational sessions. We believe that education can lead to growth and change in the sport of running for girls and that comes with hearing from experts, clinicians and coaches who do this work regularly.

Each virtual session will occur one time per month and will be free to all attendees. The content will be centered around the female bodied runner but coaches & parents can learn from this content as well! Sometimes the content may be more geared towards the girls. And sometimes the lens may be focused toward the coach or parent but we feel strongly that everyone can apply the information into their individual practice. We will select speakers we feel are doing great work in the community and can provide attendees with tools to support girls in running.

Each session can be viewed live or via recording on your own time. To signup for Wildwood EDU, simply click on the button below and provide us with your name and email. Each month you will be sent an email with the topic, speaker and date/time of the session along with a zoom link to attend. Following the session, you will be sent a follow-up email with a recording of the session plus any attachments the presenter may have provided as well as contact info for the presenter.

You only need to sign up one time! Once you are on the Wildwood EDU list, you will be in the know for all monthly events. If you want to be taken off the list, just respond to the email to unsubscribe.

If there are any topics or speakers you really want to hear form, simply reply to this email and tell us!

Speaker and topic will be announced at the beginning of each month! Once you have registered, you will be registered for all the future EDU"s. No need to register again.

Join us for this month's Wildwood EDU, a presentation with Hayley Harrison, AMFT, MS!

Hayley is a therapist based in Los Angeles who specializes in eating disorder therapy for female athletes and high-achieving women. A former collegiate runner at Santa Clara University, she earned her M.S. in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon and uses EMDR and sport psychology tools to help clients build a sustainable relationship with food, body, and self.

This session will open up conversations about eating disorders: how to reduce stigma, support healthy development of one's relationship with food and body, and ways to support loved ones who may be struggling. Whether you are an athlete, coach, or parent, this is a conversation worth having!
