Wildwood EDU

Wildwood Running is excited to launch a new path for learning! As a non-profit we deeply believe in offering educational sessions that are accessible to all. That is why we created Wildwood EDU!

Wildwood EDU are free educational sessions. We believe that education can lead to growth and change in the sport of running for girls and that comes with hearing from experts, clinicians and coaches who do this work regularly.

Each virtual session will occur one time per month and will be free to all attendees. The content will be centered around the female bodied runner but coaches & parents can learn from this content as well! Sometimes the content may be more geared towards the girls. And sometimes the lens may be focused toward the coach or parent but we feel strongly that everyone can apply the information into their individual practice. We will select speakers we feel are doing great work in the community and can provide attendees with tools to support girls in running.

Each session can be viewed live or via recording on your own time. To signup for Wildwood EDU, simply click on the button below and provide us with your name and email. Each month you will be sent an email with the topic, speaker and date/time of the session along with a zoom link to attend. Following the session, you will be sent a follow-up email with a recording of the session plus any attachments the presenter may have provided as well as contact info for the presenter.

You only need to sign up one time! Once you are on the Wildwood EDU list, you will be in the know for all monthly events. If you want to be taken off the list, just respond to the email to unsubscribe.

If there are any topics or speakers you really want to hear form, simply reply to this email and tell us!

Join us TODAY for this month's Wildwood EDU, a conversation on comparison with Jessie Magoto, Head Girls' Cross Country Coach at Minster HS!Jessie has spent the last 27 years as the head girls' cross-country coach in Minster, Ohio, and 14 of those years as head girls' track and field coach too. Under her leadership, Minster has won 18 state championships, all 27 of her cross country teams have qualified for state, and the program holds 3 Ohio state records.

She has been named NFHS State Coach of the Year 5 times and was inducted into the OATCCC Coaches' Hall of Fame in 2022.This session will dive into comparison, where it creeps in, why it holds athletes back, and how to build the courage and curiosity to push past it. Whether you are an athlete, a coach, or a parent, this one is for you.If you can't make it live, a recorded version will be sent out tomorrow morning.
