Hilary Stellingwerff / Head XC & track Coach at U. Vic

Hilary is in her sixth year as the Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track teams at the University of Victoria. She has led UVic teams to seven conference XC podium finishes and one U SPORTS XC podium (Women’s Team Bronze, 2024). Stellingwerff was named conference Women’s XC Coach of the Year in 2024. 


She has also coached on multiple Canadian National Teams. Prior to her coaching career, Hilary was an accomplished national team athlete: a 2-time Olympian (2012, 2016) and Olympic Finalist in the women’s 1500m, competing for Canada on 11 national teams, including World XC and World Athletics Championships, Commonwealth Games and Pan Am Games. She is also a former NCAA All-American at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
